Elizabeth started her career in retail management with Borders, which allowed her to learn many different roles including merchandising, inventory, sales, operations, and human resources. She learned how to pivot quickly and discovered she had a knack for training; 100% of the cashiers trained by Elizabeth were promoted within the organization.

After working in retail, Elizabeth took her first dedicated human resources role with Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and coordinated the Workday Implementation Project. Elizabeth developed and facilitated training for the twenty-person payroll department prior to “go live”. Throughout her career, she’s joined or helped organizations through major changes and has been called the “Fix-it Kid.”

Prior to joining Fhitting Room Elizabeth worked in financial services, retail, and food manufacturing. Her notable accomplishments include fiscal thriftiness that has saved organizations over $250K and strong recruiting and onboarding skills resulting in 50%+ reductions of employee turnover and increases in employee satisfaction. Throughout her career, Elizabeth has focused on development and training, including in depth leadership training.

Elizabeth earned her Master of Professional Studies in Organizational Development & Change from Pennsylvania State University and maintains current certifications through HRCI and SHRM (the Professional in Human Resources and the Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional, respectively).

Billing: I prefer flat rate but am open to hourly.

Typical rates: Dependent upon size of business and amount of support. Approximately $500/month retainer
